Soilless Agriculture
Soilless agriculture is based on supplying the water and nutrient elements required for plant growth directly to the root zone. Cultivation methods are divided into water culture and solid growing media culture.
Purpose of the Training
The main purpose of the Soilless Agriculture Training is to support individuals who wish to invest in this field or who are at the beginning of their investment journey and want to increase their knowledge specifically in soilless agriculture. The training is designed to provide comprehensive information on soilless agriculture, one of the innovative agricultural models.
For those who are simply interested in soilless agriculture, the aim is to increase their level of knowledge and help them acquire the necessary information before making possible future investment plans.
Training Methodology
The training program lasts two days.
On the first day, a comprehensive curriculum covering soilless agriculture from A to Z is delivered in a classroom setting. In addition, sample projects and feasibility studies are presented to help potential investors concretize theoretical knowledge regarding the investment process.
On the second day, a technical visit is organized to a soilless agriculture greenhouse (or production facility) located in Istanbul. During the visit, Agricultural Engineer Ayşegül HOŞGÖREN provides detailed explanations of the production process through the system. Participants gain insight into the general operation of the greenhouse, production methods, plant selection, plant nutrition, and installation processes.
Transportation costs for the greenhouse visit on the second day are covered by our institution. Transportation will depart from İAU SEM Florya Campus.
