Program Objective:

The general purpose of cinema therapy is to identify a film that reflects the patient’s life, facilitate the patient’s identification with the characters, and help develop insight into their problems. Participants will learn how to gain understanding from the characters’ mistakes or correct decisions and acquire strategies that encourage problem-solving.
In this training, the plot structure and the personality traits, behaviors, interpretations, and perspectives of the characters will be analyzed within the framework of psychopathology. This evaluation aims to provide participants with theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as a broader perspective on their professional practice. Participants will also gain practical knowledge on how to apply these insights in psychological counseling sessions with clients.
The program covers not only character analysis and plot integration but also examines the effects of camera angles and cinematographic details on emotions in key scenes.
