Program Objective
Logistics is the integrated management of transportation, warehousing, packaging and value-added services, customs, insurance, order management, inventory management, and inspection/surveillance activities. Logistics companies that perform these activities on behalf of their customers—also known as Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers—constitute the logistics sector.
The Logistics Performance Index (LPI), developed by the World Bank based on six key logistics criteria, is used to determine the level of logistics development of countries. The index evaluates customs and border clearance processes, logistics infrastructure, international shipment capabilities, quality of logistics services, shipment tracking and tracing, and on-time delivery performance.
Türkiye has steadily improved its position among approximately 150 countries since 2007, indicating rapid progress in the logistics field and an increasing demand for professionally trained personnel in logistics and supply chain management.
In today’s highly dynamic domestic and international trade environment—where speed, cost competitiveness, efficiency, and advanced use of technology are essential—companies increasingly prefer to employ specialized professionals.
The Logistics, Supply Chain and Procurement Specialization Certificate Program aims to train expert managers capable of effectively planning and managing logistics operations and supply chain processes, which are becoming increasingly critical in the circulation of goods and services.
