The Basic Expert Witness Training has been reorganized in accordance with the Regulation on Amendments to the Expert Witness Regulation published in the Official Gazette dated May 3, 2025, and numbered 32889.
Program Description
Under Law No. 6754 on Expert Witnesses and pursuant to the “Expert Witness Regulation” published in the Official Gazette on 03/08/2017, it is mandatory for individuals to complete Basic Expert Witness Training and obtain a certificate in order to perform any expert witness activities.
Individuals with at least 5 years of professional experience who complete the training and receive their certificate may apply to serve as expert witnesses, provided they meet other requirements, during the application periods announced by the Judicial and Administrative Court Commissions.
BASIC EXPERT WITNESS TRAINING CURRICULUM
Section 1: Principles of Procedural Law and Fundamental Concepts of Law of Evidence
Section 2: Expert Witnessing (Concept, Authorities, Ethical Principles, Supervision)
Section 3: Procedures and Principles of Expert Examination
Section 4: Report Writing Procedures and Principles
Section 5: UYAP System and Sample Practices
Training Schedule
The specified dates apply to a single training group.
Training Dates: June 25–26 and June 29–30, 2026 (4 days)
Training Hours: 17:00–23:00
Training Location: Florya
Training Fee: 5,000 TL (10% VAT included)
Note: No refunds will be issued starting 1 day before the training date, regardless of any excuse.
Certificates Awarded
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate of Participation issued by İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi, authorized as an official training institution by the Ministry of Justice Department of Expert Witnesses.
