Aviation Psychology Training Program

Purpose of the Program:
In the aviation sector, the most critical factor in both management and crisis situations is the human factor and human psychology. Human psychology plays a vital role across a wide spectrum—from aviation personnel to passengers.
The Aviation Psychology Training Program aims to provide participants with professional competence in recognizing, understanding, and managing psychological factors that may arise in various areas of the aviation industry and that can play a crucial role in safety, performance, and crisis management.

• Graduates of Psychology and Guidance and Psychological Counseling (PDR) programs and senior-year students
• Aviation sector professionals, including:

• Human Resource Management in Flight Personnel

o Crew Resource Management (CRM) / Team Resource Management (TRM)
• CRM Case Study


Day 3 – Fatma Kayım & Dr. Muzaffer Uyar
• Psychosocial, physiological, and physical health issues in aviation personnel and functional interventions
• Psychosocial intervention and management in airport crises and disasters
• Well-being and employee satisfaction
• Passenger-related issues and flight crew passenger management
• Psychopathologies that may occur in passengers and functional interventions
• Flight phobia as a special problem group: treatment and management of panic attacks
• Psychosocial problems among airline passengers and passenger satisfaction


Day 4
• Aviation Law – Cafer Çelik
• “Peer Support Program” as a model – Captain Muharrem Gündoğan
• Psychological Tests Used in Aviation
• Measurement and Evaluation in Aviation Recruitment Interviews – Dr. Fatih Frank Alparslan & Dr. Fatma Kayım
